Your Q1 Compliance Checklist: Steps to Stay Eligible and Ready
The new year is underway, and February is the perfect time to make sure you’re fully prepared for your next role. If landing a new job is on your list, getting prepared now can make the process smoother and faster.
Why Compliance Matters
Compliance steps like verifying your identity or completing screenings aren’t just paperwork. They are required to make sure that you’re eligible to work and meet our client legal requirements. Having everything ready upfront will move you through the hiring process without unnecessary delays and ensure you stay eligible for the positions you want.
Beyond just speed, compliance gives you the confidence to begin working on the right track. When all documentation and screening are up to date and correct, you can focus on diving into your new role versus tracking down missing forms. It also shows that you are reliable and organized, making a great first impression from day one!
Checklist
At The Job Center we want to help you get to work as quickly and efficiently as possible. That’s why we’ve put together a Compliance Checklist to help you know exactly what to expect when you arrive at one of our centers and land that perfect job.
1. 10-Panel Drug Screen Test
Completing your drug screen ahead of time helps eliminate surprises later in the process so you can focus on preparing for your new role.
2. Background Check
This step confirms your employment history and ensures eligibility for the role. Starting it early keeps you on track for a smooth hire.
3. I-9 Verification
You’ll need documents that prove your identity and work authorization. Common options include a driver’s license, passport, or Social Security card.
4. E-Verify Screening
This step confirms your eligibility to work in the U.S. It’s quick and helps meet client and legal requirements.
Getting these four steps done keeps your path to a new role smooth and stress-free. Once completed, we can focus on placing you in the right position and making sure you’re ready to start strong!
