Privacy Policy
This policy was last updated on June 2026, and is effective as of this date.
The Job Center Staffing Solutions (“The Job Center”) respects the privacy of our customers, applicants, workforce suppliers and employees, and we acknowledge that you have certain rights related to any personal information we collect from you. The Job Center supports all national and local privacy laws, and has procedures in place to meet the requirements of those laws.
In general, you may visit our website (the “website”) without providing any personal information to us. If you choose to provide information voluntarily, we will use that information in accordance with this Website Privacy Policy or in the execution of business performed through The Job Center.
Note for Job Applicants and Employees: Most U.S. state consumer privacy laws explicitly exclude personal data collected and used in an employment or recruitment context. Where that exclusion applies, your data is still protected under this Policy and applicable employment law, but certain consumer rights described in the “Your Privacy Rights” section below may not apply to your application or employment records.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
Personal Information
Personal information that we collect may include your full name, street address, telephone number, email address, job interests, job qualifications, email and resume. The Job Center collects, processes and discloses sensitive personal information, such as Social Security Numbers, only if required to comply with legal obligations, if there is a compelling business need to do so or with your consent.
Sensitive personal information also includes: driver’s license, state identification card, or passport numbers; financial account information combined with required access credentials; precise geolocation data; racial or ethnic origin; biometric information; and health information. We collect sensitive personal information only where required by law, where there is a direct operational need, or with your explicit opt-in consent. Where we collect biometric identifiers from workers — such as fingerprints used for timekeeping — we will obtain explicit consent in advance as required by applicable state law, including Colorado’s HB 1130 (effective July 1, 2025). We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those stated in this Policy without first obtaining your opt-in consent.
We collect and process your personal information for the following purposes where necessary:
- To maintain our contractual or business relationship with you;
- For recruitment, placement and/or employment-related services, where applicable;
- To tell you about the products and services we offer;
- To contact and correspond with you;
- For the management and defense of legal claims and actions, compliance with court orders and other legal obligations and regulatory requirements, and as otherwise permitted by law;
- To protect the rights, safety, and property of The Job Center, our customers, workers, and information systems, including to combat unauthorized access and verify user identity.
The Job Center may disclose your personal information for these purposes to other The Job Center entities, affiliates, suppliers, subcontractors who perform services on our behalf, customers if you are seeking employment, an acquiring organization if The Job Center is involved in the sale, merger, acquisition or transfer of some or all of its business, and where we are otherwise required to do so, such as by court order.
All above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
The Job Center will maintain your personally identifiable information in secure on-line and off-line facilities. The collection of this personally identifiable information enables The Job Center to begin the job placement process, including the need to pass such information to potential employers.
The Job Center may store and disclose personally identifiable information as allowed or required by applicable law, including making disclosures that are necessary or advisable to (i) protect the rights, safety or property of The Job Center or others; (ii) conform to legal or regulatory requirements; and (iii) a possible sale of assets of The Job Center.
Information Automatically Collected
The Job Center may use non-personal information to create aggregate tracking information reports regarding website user demographics and the use of the website, and then provide those reports to others. None of the tracking information in the reports is connected to the identities or other personal information of individual users.
Non-identifiable Information
Like many other websites, the website automatically collects certain non-identifiable information regarding website users, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you access the website, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the website, the operating system you are using, the sections of the website you visit, the website pages accessed and information viewed and the materials you post to or download from the website. This non-identifiable information is used for website and system administration purposes and to improve the website. Your non-identifiable information may be disclosed to others and permanently archived for future use.
Cookies
The website may use “cookies,” a technology that installs information on a website user’s computer to permit the website to recognize future visits using that computer. Cookies enhance the convenience and use of the website. For example, the information provided through cookies is used to recognize you as a previous user of the website, to track your activity at the website in order to respond to your needs, to offer personalized web page content and information for your use, to automatically populate online forms with your personal information for your convenience and to otherwise facilitate your website experience.
Advertisements displayed on the website may also contain cookies or other technologies. Those advertisements may be provided by third party advertising companies, and The Job Center does not have any control over, or any responsibility or liability for, the cookies or other technologies used in the advertisements or for the use and disclosure of information collected through advertisement cookies.
You may choose to decline cookies if your browser permits, but doing so may affect your use of the website and your ability to access or use certain website features.
Web Beacons and Analytics
Pages of our website and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit The Job Center to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics. We also use third-party analytics services, including Google Analytics, to collect and analyze information about how our website is used and to report on usage trends.
Do Not Track
“Do Not Track” is a privacy preference you can set in your Internet browser that sends a signal to a website that you do not want the website operator to track certain browsing information about you. Our website is not configured to detect and respond to Do Not Track signals from a user’s computer. We do not track individual consumers’ online activities over time and across different Internet websites or online services when the consumer uses our website.
Security
We work to keep our servers, applications and databases secure and free from unauthorized access and use, by using physical, administrative and technological measures to protect the information we maintain. Unfortunately, no one can guarantee 100% security. If you have particular security concerns about certain personal information, please do not transmit that information over the Internet.
The Job Center maintains a written cybersecurity program aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework that incorporates administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the size and nature of our business, including encrypted storage and transmission of sensitive data, role-based access controls, regular security assessments, employee training, and incident response procedures.
Links
The website may contain links to other websites or Internet resources. When you click on one of those links, you are contacting another website or Internet resource that may collect information about you voluntarily or through cookies or other technologies. The Job Center has no responsibility, liability for or control over those other website(s) or Internet resources or their collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. You should review the privacy policies of those other website(s) and Internet resources to understand how they collect and use information.
Children’s Information
The website and services of The Job Center are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. The Job Center does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps to remove that information.
Text Message (SMS) Communications
If you choose to opt in to receive text messages from The Job Center, you may receive text messages related to job opportunities, information about your application status, onboarding materials, and other employment-related updates. We do not share information obtained as part of the SMS consent process, including your opt-in consent and your phone number, with any third parties. Message frequency may vary and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by texting “STOP.” For assistance, text “HELP” or contact your local Job Center office.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data security breach that compromises your personal information, The Job Center will notify affected individuals as required by applicable federal and state law. Our breach notification obligations include:
Notifying affected individuals without unreasonable delay after we determine a breach has occurred, generally within the timeframe required by applicable state law;
Notifying relevant state attorneys general and regulatory agencies concurrently where required by applicable state law;
Notifying applicable consumer reporting agencies where a breach affects a significant number of individuals, as required by law;
Providing additional remedies such as credit monitoring services to affected individuals where required by applicable state law.
The Job Center maintains cybersecurity controls consistent with applicable state data protection safe harbor frameworks, including the Ohio Data Protection Act, to reduce the risk of breach and support available legal defenses.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights with respect to personal information we hold about you. Most U.S. state consumer privacy laws exclude personal data collected in an employment or recruitment context; where that exclusion applies, these rights may not extend to your application or employment records.
Where applicable under state law, your rights may include:
- The right to confirm whether we are processing your personal information and to access that data;
- The right to correct inaccuracies in your personal information;
- The right to delete personal information you have provided to us or that we have collected about you;
- The right to obtain a portable copy of your personal information in a readily usable format;
- The right to opt out of the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or profiling that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you;
- The right to opt out of the collection or use of sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy;
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of the above rights.
Colorado residents also have the right to opt out through a recognized Universal Opt-Out Mechanism (UOOM). The Job Center will honor valid opt-out requests submitted through UOOMs approved by the Colorado Attorney General, as required by the Colorado Privacy Act (effective July 1, 2023).
To submit a privacy rights request, please contact us by emailing privacy@thejobcenterstaffing.com or contacting your local Job Center office. We will respond within 45 calendar days of receipt. If we need additional time (up to 45 additional calendar days), we will notify you. To verify your identity, we may ask you to confirm personal information we already have on file. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
If we decline to act on your privacy rights request, we will inform you of the reason within our response period. You may appeal our decision by contacting us in writing. We will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General to submit a complaint.
Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary in light of the purpose(s) for which it was obtained. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include: (i) for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you or our client; (ii) as required by a legal obligation to which we are subject (for example, certain laws require us to keep records for a specific period of time beyond the end of our relationship); (iii) as advisable in light of our legal position, such as applicable statutes of limitations or regulatory investigations; and (iv) other legitimate business needs. We may also retain your personal information in a de-identified or aggregated form so that it can no longer be associated with you.
Governing Law
The internal laws of the State of Ohio, without reference to any choice of law provisions, shall govern any claims relating to any use of, or information on this website, except where superseded by applicable state privacy or data breach notification law.
Policy Updates
The Job Center may change, supplement or amend this Notice as it relates to your future use of the website from time to time, for any reason, by posting a revised Notice date on the website. We will review and update this Policy at least annually, or sooner when required by new or amended laws.
