The Job Center Staffing is hiring 1st Shift Packing Department Associates to support a fast-paced microgreens and herbs production operation. This role involves inspecting, weighing, and packaging fresh products while maintaining strict quality and food safety standards. Candidates should be comfortable working in a cold environment and performing repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail.
Compensation:
- $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Overtime and weekend shifts as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, weigh, and package microgreens and herbs into plastic clamshell containers according to established standards
- Pack products on the line while ensuring quality standards are consistently met
- Accurately label and prepare packaged goods for distribution
- Maintain productivity standards as directed by supervisors
- Assist with additional warehouse responsibilities as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Identify and remove damaged or substandard product
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a refrigerated environment (approximately 30–34°F)
- Layered clothing is encouraged to maintain comfort and productivity
- Standing in one area for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks is required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity to handle delicate products
Requirements:
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
