Job Summary
As a Forklift Operator (Dock Stocker), you will play a crucial role in our distribution operations. Your primary responsibilities will include safely operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials and products, as well as organizing and stocking the loading dock area to ensure efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
– Operate a forklift to transport and move goods, materials, and equipment within the distribution center
– Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and organization of products on the loading dock
– Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate any discrepancies to the management team
– Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
– Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize storage and organization of the loading dock area
Qualifications
– Proficiency in English
– Experience operating a forklift
– Ability to work a first shift schedule
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Working Conditions
This position is based in our warehouse/distribution center environment. The work may involve extended periods of standing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy materials and products. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided.
Compensation and Benefits
The target pay rate for this contract position is $18 USD per hour.
