Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to support cleanliness and food safety standards at our indoor vegetable and microgreen growing facility. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, sanitary, and compliant environment for production operations.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to support cleanliness and food safety standards at our indoor vegetable and microgreen growing facility. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, sanitary, and compliant environment for production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of production areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and workspaces
- Operate sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers (experience preferred)
- Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with facility procedures
- Maintain cleaning logs and documentation as required
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure a clean and efficient workspace
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed
- Comfortable working in variable temperatures and environments (e.g., warm, humid, or cool growing areas)
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, hair nets, facial hair nets, and boots
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating a floor scrubber or similar cleaning equipment
- Previous sanitation or janitorial experience in a food production or agricultural setting
