Shop Fabricator
The Job Center Staffing is hiring associates on 1stshift Fabrication in the Woodlawn area. This is a great opportunity for a temp to hire placement.
Compensation/Shift/Benefits of Shop Fabricator
- $18.50-$20 depending on experience Resume required with experience
- 1st shift 6:30am-4pm Monday- Thursday (work 36 hours paid for 40 hours)
- Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO

Responsibilities of Shop Fabricator
- Read and follow blueprints and work instructions.
- Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, press brakes, drills, and sanding equipment.
- Measure parts using tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy.
- Perform basic machine cleaning and maintenance.
- Inspect finished parts for quality.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any issues to your supervisor.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
Requirements of Shop Fabricator
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints or mechanical drawings is preferred.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures or calipers is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
