Shop Fabricator
The Job Center Staffing is hiring associates on 1stshift Fabrication in the Woodlawn area.  This is a great opportunity for a temp to hire placement.
Compensation/Shift/Benefits of Shop Fabricator
  • $18.50-$20 depending on experience Resume required with experience
  • 1st shift 6:30am-4pm Monday- Thursday (work 36 hours paid for 40 hours)
  • Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO

Responsibilities of Shop Fabricator 
  • Read and follow blueprints and work instructions.
  • Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, press brakes, drills, and sanding equipment.
  • Measure parts using tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform basic machine cleaning and maintenance.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any issues to your supervisor.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
Requirements of Shop Fabricator
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift. 
  • Frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. 
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Previous manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to read blueprints or mechanical drawings is preferred. 
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures or calipers is a plus. 
  •  Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. 
  • Reliable attendance and a positive attitude. 
  •  Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
