ACCOUNT MANAGER
Job Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned client
relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery, and identifying opportunities to expand
business within existing accounts. This role combines client relationship management,
operational oversight, employee engagement, and account growth to achieve high levels of
performance, retention, customer satisfaction, and increased business with assigned clients.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Account Management, Client Relations & Growth
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts. - Build strong relationships with client leadership, department supervisors, and other key
decision-makers. - Conduct regular onsite visits to client facilities to maintain strong relationships,
understand evolving workforce needs, and identify opportunities for additional
business. - Partner with client leadership and department supervisors to ensure staffing goals,
service expectations, and performance standards are met. - Complete quarterly ABR’s along monthly performance dashboard meetings to convey
associated metrics. - Develop a strong understanding of each client’s operation, including departments,
buildings, shifts, seasonal needs, and future workforce plans. - Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to expand business within existing
accounts through additional departments, shifts, buildings, locations, positions, or
service lines. - Work with internal leadership and client contacts to develop and execute account
growth plans for assigned clients. - Maintain awareness of current business levels and account potential, with an
expectation of increasing Job Center’s presence and share of business within assigned
accounts. - Communicate daily with client supervisors regarding attendance, performance,
scheduling updates, and workforce needs. - Address client concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a strong focus
on both client retention and account expansion.
Operational Oversight - Track and manage daily attendance and punctuality for all assigned associates.
- Coordinate onboarding, orientations, and new-hire introductions with the client.
- Monitor associate performance and partner with client supervisors to address
performance or attendance concerns. - Ensure staffing levels align with client needs and communicate changes or anticipated
needs to the recruiting and operations teams. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to client activity, associate
performance, staffing needs, and account updates. - Partner with internal recruiting teams to ensure candidate pipelines support both
current client needs and anticipated account growth.
Employee Engagement & Retention
- Maintain regular communication with associates working at assigned client locations.
- Conduct employee check-ins and provide support to improve engagement, attendance,
performance, and retention. - Assist with resolving employee concerns and workplace issues in partnership with
appropriate internal leadership. - Support retention initiatives and help create a positive employee experience at assigned
client locations.
Performance & Business Expectations
- Meet established expectations for client service, retention, account performance, and
growth. - Demonstrate measurable efforts to expand existing accounts and increase Job Center’s
business within assigned clients. - Maintain regular communication with leadership regarding account performance,
growth opportunities, risks, and action plans. - Support company initiatives, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and comfortably discuss additional staffing
needs with existing clients. - Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with recruiting, operations,
sales, and client teams. - Proficiency with standard business technology and systems used to track client,
employee, and staffing activity.
Travel
This position involves traveling locally between assigned client locations, but the amount of
travel will depend on the accounts you support. High volume markets such as Louisville and
Philadelphia will require more frequent onsite visits, while lower volume markets such as
Columbus, Cincinnati, Denver, and Charlotte will generally have less frequent travel. The
goal of the travel is to maintain client relationships, understand workforce needs, support
associates, and identify opportunities to grow the account.
