Stand Up Reach Forklift Operator – VAS Line Job Description
A Stand Up Reach Forklift Operator on a VAS (Value-Added Services) line is responsible for operating a stand-up reach truck to move, store, and organize products in a warehouse while supporting value-added operations such as labeling, repacking, sorting, kitting, or quality checks.
Typical Duties
- Operate a stand-up reach forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload pallets from racks and staging areas
- Move materials to and from the VAS production line
- Pick, pull, and stage customer orders
- Perform inventory checks and stock replenishment
- Assist with value-added services such as:
- Labeling products
- Repackaging items
- Kitting or assembling orders
- Scanning and quality inspection
- Use RF scanners or warehouse management systems
- Follow OSHA and warehouse safety procedures
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Requirements
- Experience operating a stand-up reach forklift
- Valid forklift certification (preferred or required)
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse
- Basic math and inventory skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stand for long periods and work overtime if needed
